sound insulation?

Okay, so it's a soft top is inherently noisy and will always be so... but I'm wondering if anyone here has taken the time/effort to try sound insulating a d90? I noticed, while looking at defender porn, that ECR adds some when they do a full buildup but I couldn't tell if they lined the box or just added it in a few places.

Where will it make the most difference? hood? floor? doors? line the whole tub? or is there pretty much nothing I'll ever be able to do to quite this beast down (other than parking it and walking)

I was thinking of getting a cheap sound meeter off ebay to see if anything I try makes any difference... but I didn't want to throw money away if it's been done before.

Hehe, it wasn't meant as a slight, knowing what keywords to search with can be half the battle. That's why I included a few that I thought you might have missed.

You'll find an abundant amount of info on how to reduce the noise...Happy Hunting!
