Sold my defender, Thanks everyone

Sold my defender this weekend using lrx.com. Just want to thank everyone on this site, especially Mike, for all the great information and just an overall great site to visit everday. I will get another d-90 someday.....I felt like I lost a friend.

Anyway, thanks again everyone.

Hey Rich, any ideas when you will be getting another 90? I would feel the same if I sold mine. At least you won't be looking for that plastic cover for the AC anymore

Thats a good one Mike. THAT DAMN PART...... What do you expect from me and my garage queen. I did get it muddy a few times. Did you see my avatar? I know it isn't Mike Hippert quality of water crossing but it isn't bad. Probably next year and I think it will be a 1997.
Thanks

LOL, yeah I did see the avatar, I saw it a few weeks back andment to say something. Glad to see you got it offroad! How long have you been searching for that dam part? Going for the auto I see, I'll keep my eyes open for ya next year, but I'm sure you'll stick around here anyway. Oh and you will love the Defender that much more after having to drive around some other car until then, when mine was down I missed driving it, and I missed it even more having to drive normal cars around.

I feel your pain man. The day I sold my D90 I felt like crap, I couldn't believe that I sold it. Now I wish I hadnít done it since I was trying to make a point and found out the point that I made wasn't worth it

I'm thinking about buying a 97 SW as well and keep it as my daily driver thought, b/c that's what a sw is for. A street queen

Hey Dave, did you see what he said about 97 SWs? To be honest, I think it takes a little more guts to wheel a top heavy SW then a ST. But I have rubbed pretty hard up against "things" with the cage that I am not sure I would want to do in a SW.

It's funny, he bashes '97 SW's and then says he wants one because they are street queens.

Mike, I really can't believe Yousef anymore. He drives a Disco II...

His credibility is shrinking.

Damn... that was harsh. Lets be nice to our D2 owner guests like Yousef who visit the forum here. We know they just secretly want D90s of their own. :P

Oh wait, he had one but sold it..
Oh wait again, he had another and sold it,

Yousef, I was going to say, I might have a 97 SW for sale but giving your history lately, I better just cut out the middle man and list it myself rather than sell it to you.

Only kidding around with ya'. Sorry, could resist.

yeah Yousef, what are you still doing hang out here on the "d-90" site, why don't you go hang out over at discoweb?
Why don't you post a pic of your new whip. knowing you, you probably put a 3-link on it?

Mike, they way you solve that rubbing issue on a SW is an exterior full cage. It's like a rock slider for your roof.

SW's are for us old soft guys who sometimes need AC and less choking dust. You guys that use windshield wipers on the inside are hardcore!!

Sheki, where did you get the roof slider, I like the looks of it...and I have busted the Alpine window once.

He knows I'm joking. He's been relentless in the street queen comments to me since CO.

Funny how Mike would ride with me though. A little AC, no dust, and life was good in the SW...

Aw Yousef, don't dispair. We know you will have something shortly.

Besides, I just acquired a new daily driver too....

We've done that once already with another Disco II on FL Road. It was ugly.

So that's how it is huh? After all these years giving you guys a half assed answers to your question and now Iím a guest?

You guys just lost an important figure in the D90 world and you guys lost it to Discoweeb. Discoweb here I come.

I still stand behind a SW being a street queen. If you guys come across a 97 SW blue or willow green in mid 20's let me know, I'll buy it. No white, no green, and defiantly no red. Mean while I'll be hanging with the cool people of Dweb.

This site sucks.

Follow-up Post:

Marchand, I love your Disco. I once had an 03 HSE7 and that thing was cool. I know you have an 04 but my 03 was much better b/c it was mine.
