Osama, I mean Obama actually came out yesterday saying he was not going to reverse any bans anytime soon and said people were overreacting. His anti-gun voting record tells a different story. Gun sales were up something like 50% for the month after the election!

Well, I had ordered an SKS, but the one I wanted was sold out, and all the prices have gone up.
I lost my bid on a nice Winchester P-14, same with the 1905 ross.

So, I spent my money on ammo instead, 100rds of 7.5 swiss and another can of '06 from the CMP. After Christmas I'm considering a new Savage in either .204 Ruger or .22-250, or some similar varmint cartridge.

I may also pick up another Garand, or re-barrel my current one. Not sure yet.

At the prices people are charging now? Stripped AR lowers for $150? Unreal. At least 5.56 can still be found reasonably.

Bought a Bushmaster lower, soon followed by an upper with a 14.5 in. barrel and telestock. The reminder of a democratic congress and white house in the early '90's finally pushed me to spend the money.

I'm guessing double rifles are way down Obama's list.

My father(semi retired) recently got a job with Smith and Wesson. That means I get half price guns, so I have picked up a couple new 'toys' recently.

Oh good, I've got time to figure out how to explain to my wife that the kids are going to the University of Holland & Holland.

you should have seen the adds he ran in NV during the election, all about guns and not passing any regulations involving them... I thought it was hilarious

That gun is worth more than the holland & holland P38a range rover.

Ron

PS not my style though. I prefer evil and black and preferably requiring a tax stamp :-)

Be glad you don't live in New York. All the local shops I've asked around here want $50-$75 for an FFL transfer. And that was BEFORE the election. No point in ordering one, if I have to pay a 50% markup just to do the paperwork.

I did buy a couple new guns this month..
But for me I am getting concerned with "Ammunition control" seems like every year some lefty introduces a bill to tax ammo. I really don't want to see this.
Action shooting is another one of my hobbies - some years I put 30k+ rounds down range, taxing ammo and/or components would make this sport impossible to play .
