LOL, me neither, although I don't seem to have the same penchant for guns like most rover owners. I blame it on bad memories of being forced to run miles upon miles with a heavy ass M16. You just lose the desire for a gun after that

If you buy local, don't do it on the weekend. My last Cabela's run had me sitting for days waiting on the background check. Guns sales are crazy here...

Yeah, lots of elephants gone bad.

Those old elephant guns are pretty, but I actually have almost zero interest in weapons.

Can't believe I just noticed this post. Well take it from a guy who has 10 AR's and 4 AK's, it is true you can never have enough! I went to the crossroads gunshow in phoenix last sunday and prices were insane. $300 for a stripped lower (sun devil). I remember when I was buying them for $69 - $99! I just recently finished my Cali-legal MP5, ( i should post pictures ) and I took it out last night to Angeles shooting range and although I had a few jams (lack of lubrication on new parts I think) it ran pretty flawless. But now because of Obamination I will now start looking for an HK SL8, USC and a FAL. Can't go wrong with the HK stuff. Hopefully Barret will make a Cali-legal version of the .416 so that way Armalite can copy it and sell it for cheaper here Remember, if ammo gets to expensive, learn to reload!

i dont think theres a banning coming soon. he needs to get some wins under his belt before he pull that off. and with the current situation, it'd would actually be bad pr to strike thee first.

i got all i need now, but, being as bushmaster has a 6 month backlog, i too the liberty of ordering a bunch of lowers, just in case.

I bought 2 AR15's last month. One brand new Colt Law Enforcement model M4, and a used like new Doublestar M4 with a Daniel Defense quadrail.. Also picked up over 1,000 Rds of 5.56 ammo and about 10 30 rd. Pmags and a bunch of other toys to mount on them. I have been spending a lot of time on the AR15.com forum. It's crazy busy over there. Lots to read. Expensive new hobby.

Now, where is AlohaRover with that discount??!!

Yeah, Yeah....I don't want to hear it!
I lucked into the 6920. They are hard to come by these days around here. The shooting range just happened to be on the list to get one and I was there to put a deposit on it same day they announced it available. Picked it up a couple of days later. Nice rifles aren't they? I want a .308 next. I'm addicted at this point.

thats the thing. i dont even know what i want at this point. so, i figured, why spend 1500 on something for heck of it, when you can get 6 lowers for the same price and sit on em. if a gun ban does happen, i could sell two lowers and pay for the rest of the rifle.

Hopefully, you will be able to sell them for more, or maybe prices will come back down and you will be stuck with 6 lowers that you overpaid for. That would suck. Good luck either way, but I would rather be out shooting something instead of having 6 lowers in the closet but that's just me. I was going to buy a lower to sit on but I kept thinking I was getting ripped at $200 when they were half that pre election.

i already have lotsa guns to shoot, and for what sam charged me, the worst that could happen is i loose a couple hundy, hes more interested in stuffing dead animals than gouging return customers. i hope i do lose. id rather see guns free and easy, than have me "shorting" the market and winning. but should the worst come to be, ill have extras for people i know, me, $$$, whatever. i wont be wishin i woulda.

I thought I had talked myself out of it, but you make me want to pick up a couple of lowers!
Then again, I could take that money and buy another scope.....or.....(insert any black rifle accessory here)! Like I said, I am addicted.

The place I bought my 6920 still has one left (almost bought both of them). $1399.00 guy was really cool. He has 4 real HK91s at 2k a pop, AKs, dragonov sniper rifles and all sorts of evil looking stuff without a hunting rifle in sight.
