So now that Dash Bezel is NLA, what are we to do now?

Well I called Rovers North about the shroud and the instrument panel bezel and they said I'm SOL on the bezel and that I should just fabricate metal mounting tabs to fix the old one. Besides the wooden dash another member was pimping here, what other options do we got? What is the evil Mike Smith from ECR doing that we don't know about?

Neil

Bought a ton of them when I heard they were going NLA.

Seriously though, SafariRover was making some neato alloy dash backing plates. Try getting with him, that would be better than the plastic anyway.

As for the dash itself you can adapt other versions (non-NAS units). There are UK ones that do not have the lights on the LH and RH for the heater controls and you can take parts from your old dash and blend them with these new parts to make the right piece. Or you can just install the Euro type and skip the lighted heater controls. Depends on how picky you want to get.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

well I have a transplanted euro bulkhead and dash on my NAS 110, and always wondered why my heater controls didn't light up...now I know. Another mystery solved.

Thanks Mike, wish someone made a stamped stainless steel version with all the details pressed out.

Safari Rovers mounting plate is the best way to go excellent quality and fit... Toss the plastic POS and go with his aluminum creation...

He also has a few other cool goodies for the Defenders

Give Steve a shout.
