Made a quick run to get extra milk for oyster stew. Nothing here is plowed and the ice underneath is...well lets just say it was an interesting drive. Heading to work in the am should be epic!

just had a treacherous ride from NYC to upstate. Roads sucked badly, but worst are the jackasses that can drive in inclement weather.

I drove into the storm as usual. Drove through the mountains of Virginia yesterday in snow and ice mixture that is far more slimy than powder snow. Made a run for some breakfast here in Maryland this morning and hit the ext temp button on the D2, 17F @ 9am, this a 1/2 mile inland of the Chesapeake bay which usually moderates area winter temps pretty well.

The older I get the less I like the cold. Was scraping the ice off the wind

Should have waited for the heated wind shield to do its thing.

It's in the high 60's and sunny here. I grew up in NE Ohio. So glad I moved out west years ago. Ask me in mid July how much I like it. Not as much fun, but I'd rather deal with extreme heat in the summer than what's going on back east right now.
