Snow Driving picture from a friend...

Neil Hanekom took this one.
Since there is no snow in the immediate area, will share this excellent scene.
Was looking to see George Baily waving in the background... standing on the front steps of the savings and loan.

My big fat cat has been meowing me to death to go outside..I obliged and threw him out on the deck. Within 10 seconds he was standing facing the sliding glass door with both paws spread out bear hugging the glass with a look of panic on his face...

Now he is a perfectly quiet pussycat (with a pissed off look on his face)

After spending 10days on the gulf coast over xmas/NY I am so frigging DONE with the cold. Wife and I started looking at property in Bonita Springs & Punta Gorda area.

Screw snow....my thought is if you aren't skiing every weekend - there is absolutely no reason to live where it snows.

Jonesy,
My parents live in Punta Gorda. The downtown area is getting some new businesses so it seems to be growing a bit. They seem to like it. It is also nicer than across the river in Port Charollette where it seems to be more blue collar.

Maybe on the Eastern Shore - this crap can't go because it is so bloody cold.

Funnily enough after living in Boulder, CO for 4 years I never complained about the snow...I think it is just the frigid bone chilling cold!

My sis and bro in law had a husky years ago that would stay outside the house in Stowe all night in the dead of winter. I remember seeing that dog pop out of her snow burrow and thinking she was freaking crazy (I think she was more wolf than dog)

Regarding snow - I am at Camelback, PA today and they didn't get as much as I hoped. Thinking just 6" of natural which seems to be all groomed up. Fun place and is close to home. Thinking southern VT or upper NY was the way to go this weekend or better yet yesterday.

Something about CO doesn't feel nearly as cold as the east coast. When we were in Steamboat last year, temps were in the single digits at times but it didn't feel bad at all. Like our shuttle driver out there that was from NH said, you don't know cold until you've spent a winter in upper New England.

Jonesy....check out the east central area. I lived in the Sebastian/ Melbourne area for a good while. Also might want to check with Raub down in the Stuart area. Was never much impressed with the west coast and all the blue hairs.....just my .02.
