I choose to remember only people and their post from people of substance... Hence the reason I never have any idea what half the posts on this forum are about... Especially from the sausage fingered wanker...
Now... What the f was I doing before this..

So out of all these posts I see we have lost track of the initial pretense of the thread... If I recall there has only been two lovely ladies (well apart from Briggsy) who have posted.. I know one of them mentioned her husband..(and I am sure he is a very lucky man indeed.) but not quite sure of the lovely Carmen.. Sooo what's your story Carmen.. Do you attend the events.. Hang out with the land rover boys.. Aren't they a lovely bunch of guys.. So kind, courteous, well edumacated bunch..who could resist their "charms"... Lol..

Is there a pit deeper than mud? Like a limestone pit or a magma pit?

Single but not really looking. Men require a lot of upkeep and I'm busy enough with the Dormobile and the TR3. Doesn't leave me much time to clean up after a guy.

Owned for 36 years

owned for 28 years - The new car

Your right. Men are like British cars. We are half ass wired, we leak, and stink. The maintenance is high and reliability is so so, although our resale value is good though when you want to get rid of us.

Hellloooooo boyyyysssss! I've been too lazy to get on here by myself, but there are some of us unicorns out there! I've stolen my husband's handle (yeah yeah, that's what she said) to enlighten you about my love affair with our Defender.

I used to be content letting Chris drive, but ever since we got the Defender, it's been a battle for the wheel! I'm a bit of a ham, so I get a kick out of turning heads as everyone checks out the Landy. I can't help but giggle at the reaction when they see who is driving it! I just give a smile and a wave as they stare, mouth open that a woman (GASP!) is driving this big rig all by herself! Ha!

I didn't marry a man who had a Defender, but I married one who had a life long dream of owning one. On our wedding day, I gave him a mini defender and a letter telling him that his dream was my dream now, and I promised to make it come true. After being married less than a year, it did! A lot of the guys Chris works with asked what he had to do to convince me or if he just bought it and dealt with me being mad. What they don't know (or didn't until now) is that I was the one who pulled the trigger! I really, truly made the Defender my dream, and how could it not be?!?!? I've fallen in love with the Land Rover brand, and am dying to get my hands on one of my own now! Side note: I'll be happy to take a mint green Series off anyone's hands if they have one!

I'm not just along for the ride, but I plan to get dirty and get to know our car on a personal level. I help Chris with the car when I can, and we both plan to really learn the ropes. We haven't had a chance to meet up with people, but we are looking for the opportunity to make some Defender friends and go to some events! We love going on adventures and sleeping in our roof top tent...we want to go back out as soon as we get home, every single time. I'm hoping that in the future, our trips will be even longer and filled with even more adventure!!! That's mostly why I love our Defender...because my husband and I enjoy it together!

So yes, there are some of us Defender driving divas out there! We may be rare, but we're out there! If it's of any interest to the single men with Defenders, I have plenty of (hot) single girlfriends out there who have fallen in love with our Landy as much as we have. Even if you can't find a woman who has her own, there are at least a few who will enjoy yours WITH you!!!!

XOXOXO
Rachael
