Since We're Talking Tires?

I'm putting new rubber on my truck and put on a 3" Rovertyme lift a couple of months ago. My question is has anyone ever fit 37" tires on this lift(3")? Any advice/issues with putting this size on this lift? Benefits, drawbacks...etc. Thanks.

You'll need to upgrade most of the drivetrain to spin them. 35 seems to be about as big as you can go without serious upgrades, but even then you'll most likely want axles and CVs at least.

If you put 37" tires with only a 3" lift - how will the tires ever stuff into the wheel wells when articulated? Is 3" enough for 37" tires? Won't you need to do some major fender trimming?

Thanks for the insight. I will need to beef up the axles and CV's, I'm running the upgraded GBR drive-line componets but haven't gotten to the others just yet. Joe to you point, that is what I would like to know, how much articulation can still be had with 37's, fender trimming is no problem but it may be 37's will induce some diminished return.

These can be run easily with a 3 in lift. I did it for a year or so. I trimmed a decent amount but I ran no bumpstops. If you wanted to extent your bumpstop a little then you could get away with less cutting.

Take a look at this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMESE%3AIT

My 37's and reserve is $600! I also have the 15x10 rover wheels that work well with this tire. Just a shameless plug.

Heres a super old pic of the 37's. Here I was running a 2.5in lift.

Made it further than half of the other guys, but the Hammers won.

David:Awesome pic, do you have any more pics of your truck you could send to me? I would be interested in the tires but I'm running 16x10's. Thanks again. gh

I don't have very many pics. It always seems that I end up driving and not really snapping. I have a few that are too large to post here. I will e-mail you.

I have 35x12.50's on wheels with 4 1/4" backspace and with a lift of about 3" they rubbed the fender flares and the sheet metal behind the rear tires. I trimmed like the above link and all is well. The tires were a full 35", some 35's are a little undersized.
