Sighting - All Black 110

Was just at an event at the Beverly Hills Hotel, driving up to the front door I spotted what looked to be a fully kitted out white 90 in the garage and then at the front door was an all Black 110, lifted, big tires and lights up top, definitely a NAS model. Anyone here?

I have seen the black one you are talking about. If I am not mistaken it belongs to a guest at the hotel. When he/she is out of town it is stored in the hotel garage. As for the white kitted out one, could be Mayer's since he hangs out at the hotel.

I tried to buy this one (#336) a few years back, reportedly belonged to Keaton.

all black looks so good on a 110. did they splice two 90 racks together to make that roof rack, or do you think that's a custom safety devices job?

speaking of all black 110s, check out the latest listing at red mountain rovers:

NAS 110 #336 now resides on the east coast with one of our customers.
Don't know much about its history prior to last year though.

Mmm, nothing like a rover that is overpriced by a factor of 2.

That picture was taken at LR Flatiron. I looked into buying that D110 myself, the owner was a tech at that dealer and he did all the work. This is not the one that was owned by Keaton, and it's the second black one in states or so I was told.

NAS 110 #336 started out life white. It has been repainted. Everything under and behind things on the truck is still white, as seen from its seatbox (image attached).

Looks like the one at Red Mountain Rovers started life out black. I ran a carfax and it was registered in August of 07 as a diplomatic vehicle (Source U.S. State Department). Hmmmm...

That one is not a NAS 110, so it likely was Black from the factory.

You would know, much better than me...is registering a vehicle as a "diplomatic vehicle" a common way for getting non-NAS vehicles into the country?

Its very common for diplomats to drive foreign reg vehicles in other countries, thats how I drove my NAS truck in Russia. But in Russia, just like here, it is illegal to sell them on to non-diplomats.

Are You Mentally Challenged? Diplomatic Vehicles Are Not Illegal To Resale. You Need To Do Some More Research.

Well, they do have to be imported if they pass out of diplomatic status. Its not a free-ride to bringing in non-conforming vehicles.

We wont get in to the levels of diplomatic statue and/or what's legal or illegal. But unless you are 110% certain about what you are saying(which i know 125% you're not), please don't down play me, my company, or our vehicles. Thank you.

Re-read and you'll see that my text was an answer to a general question about the commonality, or legality of the resale of diplomatic vehicles. I said nothing about you or your company. Regarding your truck I said that I think its overpriced, which I stand by.

Thou dost protest too much, methinks.

He was not down playing you or your company, but you talking to people online in the manner in which you just did will definitely make me, and I am sure others, down play you and your company. There sure are better ways to address the situation than to start calling people retards out of nowhere.
