Get the lightweight! Fly down, take the Amtrak Auto Train back.

At least it has a nice tire cover

Seriously - I used to own a 88 with a 4.2 and always had carb issues.
There are newer jeeps out there for cheeper.

ask this Q over on expo portal. I would love to see the Yota and Jeep freaks turn on each other like cannibal piranhas trying to convince you of their superiority.

Yep that's why I posted it. I was wondering who would
catch it first

Too bad I didn't know, I just sold a '99 on 33s with a winch, hard top & soft top, only 88k miles for $7k.

Pretty much exaclty what im looking for. Her 91 LC is a great truck but it is more then what we need and the mileage is unbearable.

on a good day ill get 13 highway and about 11 in the city.

Get one with the 4.0l motor. I think 1990 and newer. The old 4.2l had carb issues. Though I see they replaced the carb with a weber unit It seems to me that a 23 year old jeep should sell for under $5,000.

Hats off to you that a lightweight is even a consideration for your wife. Most would pack up and move out if you suggested they drive one as their daily driver.

Doug, I didn't get anywhere in his original post that he is considering that for his wife OR that she even knows about it! There is NO WAY a woman would drive that as a DD.

Update: If there was a woman that would drive it, then it would need a holder for her spit cup!

lol nope not a daily driver. She has a 2011 honda insight for that.

On jeeps im looking at 96 and newer because she is picky and refuses to drive a square headlight jeep.

Problem is in my area everyone thinks that if they slap some swampers on a 97 and the floor rusts through it is still worth 8000 bucks

Also this post was original just a joke trying to show off the retarded YJ with the LR tire cover

Sounds like she may be a keeper! If she's driving a honda now, then she should just hold out for the DC100. It'll be an easy transition.

Do what Doug did and buy "her" a D1, but you get to beat it up at all the LR events.

lol yep, thats why i married her. She actually loves the honda, it gets crazy mileage and she has never had a brand new car.

We bought it after her saab died of engine sludge @167k

LR couldn't pay me to take the DC100, it looks like a kia sportage raped a nissan murano
