Shipping Tires

Has anyone here ever shipped tires? Wondering the "Best Way". I need to ship three tires on rims and they need to go from Richmond Va. to Flagstaff Az. I guess I need packing/crating tips....carrier...etc...thanks!

Slap a UPS shipping label on them, or bring to a UPS store.

Just sent 5 to california and back using old dominion. Much cheaper than UPS.

Give me weight and two zips and I'll get you a price.

forward air. $88 bucks is my guess on the shipping cost using them as long as the total weight is under 180#.

You dont have to pack them when shipping UPS. Just tape a shipping label to them.

I've done it UPS and FedEx ( I have shipped Ferrari, Benz, Rover wheels )

I've got carboard ( stop at a local wheel place and they will have tons left over from new wheels ), or cut it rim size ( 2 per wheel ) to protect rim from scratches, then used shrink wrap ( rool @ staples 30.00 still have it after shipping several things ) , then placed the label.
