Shipping recommendations - From UK

I need to ship a machine tool part that is fairly heavy but small. It's in the UK. The box would be 12X6X8 or so. About 20 lbs. Any ideas how to ship cheaply? Most of the carriers quote on weight/dimensions and the high weight puts me in a very large package class. Ideas?

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

Soapy water / KY jelly, etc. is is basically a must. Yes, good idea to remove trim panels - only takes 5 more minutes to do so.

Try using a removals company such as Anglo Pacific. I've found that they can air-freight stuff very, very cheaply.
