Shipping Agent in Baltimore

Hi,
I am in the process of organizing the shipping my Defender from Southampton to Baltimore. I am going to use the RO/RO service and would like to use a shipping agent at this end. I would be grateful if somebody could recommend somebody in Baltimore, hopefully with experience of Land Rovers.

He's on the forum actively. If you look at the search function and go advanced, then input his name (Uncle Douglas) and select threads or posts by him, you'll quickly discover he is the man to go for. Though generally he prefers to be involved from vehicle selection on wards to avoid any clusterfucks.

One thing about shipping from Southampton, don't let your rover sit there for any longer than possible, mine sat there for just over two weeks as the driver missed the boat and things get Stolen.

Transport Police didn't even want to know, as for the shipping line forget it.

Thanks guys. I was in Charlottesville @ Trader Joe's when this thread was unfolding. That number is actually an Iphone6 not a land line so had he called we could have had a face to face.
Chris that's pretty much what I said in my email response to him.
Cheers

It would be fantastic to hear that you have made good use of the information in this thread before buying: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...etc-13713.html .

There are a bunch of threads on this forum that definitely show that CBP has upped its game and knows much more than it did a few years ago about what makes a vehicle legal for import and what doesn't.

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ory-59707.html and http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...c-59786-2.html The latter had the OP worried but it worked out ok in the end.

And finally.... the heartbreaking video taken in last year in Baltimore:

GLWYI
(good luck with your import)
