Seriously?

"Only" $46K for this high mileage D90. I'll be amazed if it sells there.

HAHAHAHA:

"Been restoring it for 3 months here at the dealership" ...

"New Front Brake Pads and Rotors
New Rear brake pads and rotors
Bearings re packed"

Wow, that's some extensive work!

...

"All paint buffed and rack and ladder buffed" - Congrats, you're trying to sell a vehicle...it's the least you could do.

If he gets it I'm going to buff my rack and ladder and put it up for sale.

Took you longer to do your rotors....

It is a nice truck. You should see what LR Paramus gets for the used D-90's.... They don't ask anything less then 35k for them. I have seen some rough trucks there at that price point...

Thomas, I have been restoring mine for 13 months now.

When it comes time for me to sell, I'm going to put in the ad, "This truck has been to the car wash at least 5 times"

It's a land rover dealer so it shouldn't surprise anyone that they want top dollar.

Before I bought my truck I tried to buy a green 90 at prestige BMW. They wanted 35. I offered 30 and they said no way. I bought my blue truck and maybe two months later called the dealer to see if they still had it. They told me they couldn't sell it and they auctioned it for 26k. Stubborn dealer!

Would like to see horseys truck for sale at a dealer. They would probably ask 55k

No doubt that a LR dealer would offer it for top dollar. No doubt about that, but the $46K price is normally what you see for a truck with less than 50,000 miles.

What was the mileage on the green 90 that you were looking at?

Hey, if it sells close to their asking price, then perhaps it's good for us all.

It had 40000 miles but it was 2007. I hope it does sell. I am not sure if it helps us though as dealer vs private sale is always different.

amortized cost of a buffed rack is probably $0.93 over 5 years.

I'm going to need to see the math behind that, I arrived at an even $1.00

$1.00 to see a nice buffed rack is well worth it IMHO

Why would I want a rack that some other dude buffed when i could just do it myself?

Agreed, I forgot to carry the 4.. I don't want to shortchange this dealer in their pedantic Rover-valuation technique.

From what I hear, a buffed rack will typically cost you a $20 door charge in NYC plus another $20 if you want to inspect it up close and test drive it.

It does have "4 new hella light covers". With the commodities market the way it is, and the price of covers, this could be a smart hedge against future spikes in the plastics market.
