I think as a tax write off they should donate it to The D-90 Source.

Man, what a shame....

Both doors, both side steps trashed. Frame don't look to good either, can't tell about the bulkhead but seems to have some rust around it.

That is a whole lotta rust. Is that what you folks up north have to deal with? I'm glad I've got a truck that's spent it's whole life in Texas. I've got a bit of corrosion on the door where the tops had never been removed but other than that I'm rust free.

It lived on nantucket. The ones in the hamptons or martha's vinyard especially I have seen are worse.

wow.. i didnt even look that far down in the pictures. the rest of them didnt look too terrible and my own hindges were about the same but the underside.. oofa.

Tony, yeah the north love to salt the hell out of the roads in years past before they started pre-treating before storms. and yeah, truck by the ocean are way worse like Ron said. I had a old Land Cruiser that I bought from someone who kept it in Nant. and that bastard was almost falling apart when I got rid of it.

That's funny, I checked this thing out on Sunday. Let's just say, the pictures don't do it justice. It's RUSTY. I would bet good money one could tap on the frame and pop through on the bulkhead cross member. Nevermind the unseen rust that is propbably hidden behind the Trans support cross member.

And everything on the truck is UV faded.

At least they had some fun with it. Too bad they didn't restore it.

If anyone is interested in it, I'd be happy to get some pics.

They actually own several Defenders. I think they have one other D90 hardtop, and a 110.

Nantucket is cruel to cars. I am amazed everytime I go up there and people are driving their new range rovers and g wagons on the beach.

With that much rust their Buy It Now seems a bit high, even for one with 48K miles and a 'Presidential Pedigree'.

What was he the president of, anyway? Can I expect a premium price for my non-crappy Defender, since I have been and am a president?

His is worse than yours. My brother in law had a nantucket Range Rover a while ago and the first and last time I crawled under it I rolled out like lightning because I was afraid it was going to collapse onto my head if I looked at the frame too hard.

Ugh! do they really think that previous ownership by a failed political candidate can justify their "buy Now" price???

But I am surprised by the honesty of the rust pics.......
It may be AA yellow, but looks like a lemon to me!

I think that was a suburban. While glad handing the US automaker lobbiests he owned one but while glad handing the Sierra clubbers he said it was a Kerry family vehicle and not actually his. Or so the story goes.
