Not trying to hide anything, all new cars have engine bay covers it just keeps the car aesthetically looking neat. Who wants to buy a tricked out engine conversion and see a bunch of wires and cables? I want to be able to wipe it off with WD-40 and bring it to the car show!

My company has not been associated with him for several months. While some work was contracted out to that name I made the decision to terminate that relationship months ago.

I haven't seen that one Jason , I'll go check it out . I look at all defenders like they are Legos , just waiting to be changed to each individuals likings .

I was only talking about the height of the bumper---not the truck. I never even like to see low profile tires or no room (or too much room). IMHO, there are right proportions...

That makes sense. I completely agree that bumper looks bottorfish.

The bumpers were adapted from their other vehicles, that's why they don't look right. They didn't even bother to design new ones for the 110.

I guess it would be quite embarrassing if you were at the mall or salon and once you figure out how to open your hood there was something that resembled an engine that might be dirty to whomever you were trying to impress. For me I think about the practicality of having to service or make a repairs in the real world which the vehicle were designed for. Not a large parking lot but a wooded trail or open grass land....having to remove cosmetic panels is one of the last things you want to do if you are concerned about getting home.

Isn't this the point of the hood? Why do we need additional coverage below it? Maybe we should just eliminate access? Seems like manufacturers are going to a model where the consumer will be denied access to what is under it anyway.

Guess I am an old school old fart, I like seeing the engine, and all the bits that go with it when I open the hood, call me crazy..

Congratulations, Mark. It is obvious a lot of hard work and talent goes into your builds. I'd love to see what you would do for an off-road stout/tough build sometime---I hope one of your clients asks in the future.

Hell yea!! Congrats on the WIN!

Seeing this truck first hand I want to say one thing: Everyone has their preferences as to what they like and there is nothing wrong with that. But saying that the builder of this truck is trying to hide something is total Bullshit!! If he was trying to hide something then why is there a WINNER plaque on his hood at the biggest car show. Doesn't seem to be hiding shit to me.

Congrats again Mark on a kick ass truck!
