Seller's Remorse

I sold my 94 Arles ST in 2008, and while it made sense at the time, I half-regret selling it. Lately I have really been thinking about getting another D90, lurking here far too much and checking craigslist, ebay, autotraders, etc. I would buy mine back in a heartbeat if possible.

Anybody else sell and wish they hadn't?

Well, buying a Rover makes no sense, so selling one can't make sense either. You are doomed, my friend. Doomed.

Well, it looks like your truck is still in Hawaii...actually I could have sworn an arles blue was spotted in Hawaii last year or the year before if I'm remembering correctly.

Yeah, I just saw in another thread that someone spotted an Blue ST in Kailua last week. I sold to an AF pilot, who had it for a few months, found out his wife was preganant and sold it again. Like I said, I would buy it back if it were here on the east coast. Shipping from Hawaii to East Coast tops $2k easy.

I had LRFAQ open to see what number that CDN Arles blue was (turns out it's CDN #60), and Jeremy has the # of his old truck in his profile.

yep.

there really isnt an aspect of the G wagon that isnt better than the 110nas, but i do miss it... of course, 45 minutes into driving one all hunched over sideways with a leg cramp would probably refresh my memory.

its like a pissy dead uncle. couldnt stand him when he was alive, but nothing bad to say when hes gone.

I wouldn't have much bad to say if my uncle left me $30k or so before he left, either.

could be me

So im inches away from closing a deal on my `95 90 and I already feel like im regretting it - I've had a discovery and a classic and finally found a 90 that has been a blast to own - low maintenance and reliable -

I want to own a 110 but feel I wont find one in as good of shape as my 90

I wish I could say I was making a ton of money from my 90 but im not so Im going to have to buy a junky 110 and Im sure ill regret it

Boooo!

I saw your old Defender last week in Kailua. It was a little rough looking but still looked nice. Has a Bimini top on it. I was eating pizza at Bobs pizza in Kailua. Thats next to where Obama gets snow cones when he visits. I couldn't get a picture as it went by too fast. I'm over there a lot. I'll let you know if I see it again. I alway go talk to fellow Defender owners although my wife thinks I'm weird for doing that.

6'2

That's what the seat risers are for if you 6'2 and over. That was the best $100 spent for those.

Thanks to the heads up from Josh and an amazingly understanding wife, I am getting my old truck back. The truck was delivered to Matson today and I should see it in about 4 weeks. The seller was a great guy to deal with and was understanding about me wanting to get my truck back. He had a couple of local offers (dealers looking to flip) which obviously would have been an easier and quicker sale for him as well as lots of other interest, but opted to sell it to me. I am anxious to have it back, it's going to be a long 4 weeks...

Welcome to the love is stronger the second time around club. I bought my first d90 back a few years ago after being forced to sell it the first time!
