Seeking Flight/Trip Advice

In October I'm headed to Kyrgyzstan for a couple weeks to help out the Habitat for Humanity efforts there. I live in the DC area and would prefer to depart from Dulles (IDA).

Would love some suggestions re routes to consider and who are the best/favorite travel brokers to go through.

I would suggest routing through Abu Dhabi, Dubai, or Qatar (you may have to given the destination) in that order. I'd also follow that shrub Etihad, Emirates, and Qatari airlines-in that order too.

No help on brokers-I had people to do that stuff!

If you can get to NYC (JFK) your flights and logistics become easier. I'd imagine your flight from Dulles is going there anyway.

Apart from that I've always flown the cheapest airlines and prayed for maintenance, lots of luck!

I've never done this type of trip but I do travel very often. I use kayak.com in "expert mode" to select individual legs of flights I want

I do not use an agent for personal travels, but a lot of the producers I work with use Altour.

I doubt that he'd have to route through NYC, the hubs I mentioned are really the emerging global hubs and I am all too familiar with the direct Etihad (American codeshare) flight from IAD to AUH, fairly certain you have direct access to DBX from IAD as well.

You, might want to hit the 'edit' button and change to IAD. I doubt you really want to start from Idaho Falls.
