Seat question

Have a 94 ST. Anyone know if it is possible to use a rear bench seat , and add 1 inward facing jump seat at the same time. I have the bench seat , not installed, in fact it has never been installed. My truck is currently in the shop, so cant measure , to see if it will fit. I may just try to find 3 jump seats anyway. But thought if it would work, that would save me some $. Thanks

Well, you could theoretically add 2 jump seats and the rear bench.

Whether more than 2 adults could fit at once...well, I guess it depends on how friendly they are.

i had a client ask and almost demand this.... so you do whatever people ask for. once done it was absolutely useless! the bench seat is almost at the corner of the "jumpseat" when it is down. the leg room is all shared by 4 people so you better not put an adult back there!

Kind of what I was thinking. Kids are 10-12-13, so didn't think it feasible but thought I would ask.

What about a rear facing bench seat only. Anyone else ever do that? Anyone know any laws preventing. Again likely will just buy jump seats if I can find them, but want to keep all options open and the kids like the rear facing seat we use to have, but I was always curious to the laws governing this and sold before it became an issue.

As always , thanks for the input.

Do a site search on kids and seats. I had a discussion several years back on kids, seats and orientation. I recall a lot of discussion about having kids sitting sidewards and the neck stress should anything happen. It was OK for an adult (and the Mrs.) but kids were another matter. Age was also a huge factor and you may be OK with 10+. And as already stated - a 90 is short in the back so 4 inward facing seats fit or 1 bench.

Sounds like you do not want to leave 1 kid out (or do you?) so 4 seats needed --- if you want to go 4 inwards seats, you will need to sell the bench and all hardware to pay for them ... dibs as I want a bench with hardware...

Sell off a kid.

I fit fine in the back NAS bench and I am not small. Jump seats, not so much. Kids might be ok. I would do two jumps on one side and one on the other in the middle to fit three the best.

I got some high backs and turned them backward. So you may be able to go with 2 High backs and 2 jump seats. Possibly put the oldest in the side seat. Also installed a center seat for Jax's car seat. I got the wider version of the 2 out of the U.K with the seat belts.
