Saying Hello

Hey there everyone... just wanted to say "Hi" since I am new here and it seems like a pretty close knit group.

One of my best friends is on here as Crash303. We both live out here in Sunny San Diego. A while back I started getting the bug to add a Defender to my growing collection of Rovers (only a LR3 and Series IIA right now), and figured this was the best place to find people that knew what they were talking about.

Currently looking at what's for sale... torn between a 110 and a 90. My rationale for the 90 is that if I could take a longer wheelbase truck on a trip I would just take the LR3 and ride in luxury; so the 90 fits the bill for trips where a long wheelbase might be a problem. It's the way I am really leaning right now.

But then, the 110 has the room, and is really only a little bit longer... could have 4 seats... I am sure I am not the only one that has gone through this decision. In fact locally, it seems like most of the D90 owners I know have either "moved up" to a 110 or wish they had.

Anyways, I am sure I will be happy with whatever I get. Looking at new 25-year imports right now.

So that's my story... who knows, in a few weeks you might start seeing pictures of a new Defender in the Minor Rebuilds section!

Identified... On the Way!

I was fortunate enough to be part of the the last USMC Tank company that operated in Iraq. Good times. You learn a lot about people sitting in a turret on overwatch!
