Say hello to "Gunga Din the 110"
"Tho' I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"
Well the 110 finally arrived today! At the moment I'm calling Gunga Din. Not sure if that will stick, but seems appropriate for now.
Thanks to Ken and Paul at Great British Motor Company. Great men to deal with and very thorough. They were very upfront with what I was getting (good rolling project someone else started) but it was exactly what I wanted.
I'm sure it will move to one of the project sections shortly, but don't know if it will be a complete build up or a series of small projects to start. Need to get a few things sorted for inspection, and looking forward to dropping in the mesh seats from SafariHP, then decide where to go from there.
I took her for a spin around the block and it was a blast, even without AC! Everything was as expected and it drove well. Haven't driven RHD in a while, but I think I will leave it for now.
The uniform 'e wore
Was nothin' much before,
An' rather less than 'arf o' that be'ind,
For a twisty piece o' rag
An' a goatskin water-bag
Was all the field-equipment 'e could find.
