Safety Devices US rep. Its official

Its official. ECR is now the US rep for Safety Devices. Fully authorized sales and installation center. I've been working on this for a long time now and it is done.

So now... hit me with what you want from Safety Devices and if there is enough demand we will get it in the works and stocked here in the USA.
I know what we are going to stock, but I want to hear from the rest of you in case I am missing something. Call it market research.

Thanks in advance,

Mike, ECR

Mike,

Is it still only 4x4 stuff, no porsche?

Ron

PS The first thing that I think you should stock are the clamps for the roof rack where it mounts to the front part of the cage. There is a lot of pent up demand for those things.

We are "authorized" for the Land Rover stuff, but I can get you anything you want.

The rack feet are being made as we speak.

NAS Stuff, I need a basket and a ladder. They used to have internal roll cages for classics, I would be interested in one of those as well.

There is no room in a Series for an internal front cage (to cover the driver and passenger). The only thing you can do is external for the front and then go internal for the rear, much like a NAS D90 wagon.

Do you mean just a roll bar for the rear tub area? Like a US pick up type thingy?

OK.
Keep the suggestions coming. Whatever comes up the most will be what we start looking into.

Well, if this is going to be available mail order, email me price and availablity on a full cage (not just rear half cage) for a 1971 911 Targa and whether it meets current SCCA spec or not.

Thanks!

Ron

I think offering parts for a POE conversion would be great...parts as well as a complete kit if possible

That is already on my short list. We plan to offer it as 2 set ups. The "missing" parts for the POEs and then a complete set up for those who want to make POE style trucks.

New roof rack system, now have the $2500 in scratch. AND would definitely consider ECR-flavored SD basket, if it goes that way.

Broken record: shoulda signed up for the original production of 25

I don't need any SD stuff now but I would like to just pipe in with a "congratulations" on finally working out a deal with SD.

Yes, feet are being made from the original drawings. They will be identical, and will be available individually if desired.

I did a while ago (~6month maybe more) I also talked to them at Hershey last year when they said no SD stuff. They would be ideal because they are not that far away and I could pick it up. They did not have it in stock and said they were not sure if they could get it or when if they did. The price was fine ($1500 IIRC). edit: Ideally, I would save a few bucks and get an autopower which is like $850 and supposedly is to currect SCCA spec, but they did not have that either. No one seems to have a targa cage available. I am trying to avoid the situation of ordering something (maybe even having to prepay) that may be vaporware in the end.

edited to fill out rest of details of off topic story.

Eric

I have one of those right now, along with a 90 external and a 110 crew cab external, but sorry to tease... they are going on projects that are for customers here.

The 90 one is going on my own truck.
