Question Safari Gard "CT" D110 in Northern California

Does anyone know why the Safari Gard knock off Camel Trophy D110 is parked a couple blocks away from my house in Los Altos, California right now? It`s a good looking rig, and I have actually seen it a couple times around the Bay Area over the last month, but hadn`t noticed it parked in my hood til today. Just curious.

you go to cerrones by chance? there are always some ridiculous Rovers over there.

It`s not the one you just linked to, it`s this one... It`s all Safari Gard products, and tires that are too large to tuck into the wheel wells. It`s got some ridiculously large bump stops for the axles too. Other than that it looks decent though.

I do go to Cerrone's. They have my 110 right now doing SS oil cooler lines and a rear pinion seal. Good guys and Frank has a real nice 94 D90. I bought my 110 from a customer of theirs and sold my 90 to another customer of theirs. They had the CT 110 at the shop when I dropped mine off. Very nice truck. I have never seen the one you are talking about before.

Yes I did. It was a 94 with a hardtop done by the first owner. Super clean with not one spec of rust. I miss it. The guy I sold it to is on this board(PCROVER)good people also. I now have a 110 that needs body work but also has no sign of rust. I am now looking for a Defender for my wife.

I`ve seen both your trucks then. I remember frank telling me what was going on because I guess his old OME set up was going on the red D90 and I remember asking him about the top set up/ roll bar that was on it.

I did business with Frank at Cerrone's one time - I was real happy with the experience and the price.

Yep, that sounds like my old 90. I am pretty sure safari gaurd did the roll cage for the new hard top. They did a very nice job. Like I said, I miss that truck. It is very solid and drove as good if not better than a new one. My 110 is a little rough as far as the body goes but the drivetrain is very solid. Cerrones has done all the repair and maint for a long time so I feel very good about that. I will keep my eyes open for the 110 by your house. I would like to see it.
