Sad...

No more than 2 weeks ago I learned that my neighbor - like 5 houses away - bought a '97 red (Japan) NAS D90. The thing is cherry, almost like it just left the showroom floor.

He had been on the fence whether he wanted to keep it, I guess it was a daily driver, and he paid a pretty penny for it. I had hoped he would keep it, have someone to talk Land Rovers with who's right down the block.

I spied this out my window today, on it's way onto the truck, not off...

looks like 'redefender' (his name on the board) needs both a new car, and a new name...bummer.

It's more like I'm back to being the only kid on the block with a Defender.

Jerod your post is hard to follow. Did he buy it and sell it within 5 days?

Also, if you are going to stock oil lines at least buy some heat shielding material and sleeve them.

More accurately, I believe he returned it.

Original post has been edited to make it clearer. Thanks Charles.

I drove that truck. Not bad. The JAP power windows suck. That was not a cheap truck. They are taking it back?

I haven't talked to my neighbor since he decided to return it. I would assume they're taking it back, but what the hell do I know.

He did mention that the power windows sucked, and were causing the outer skin of the door to dent.

And his AC blew too much out of the center, and not enough out of the sides.

It's more like we're talking in revered tones in honor of the recently deceased.

Yeah Randy - explain yourself!

By boat. As long as the VIN # falls into the range allowed, the US DOT/gov't sees it basically as NAS, and therefore legal. Many of them appear to have had their speedos changed, and some other interesting things.
