Stephen- do you have a chassis stacker ? Just wondering how we will load a 110 chassis on a 130 chassis and then a 90 chassis on top like a cherry....might take a lot of beer and wings to get that done.

Held off leaving yesterday due to snow and ice storm. Well it continued to ice storm all night. Rolling this morning but here's what the truck and trailer looked like @ 9am.
Pictures don't convey the ice on the truck well but doors etc were frozen shut.

A guy from Lynchburg showed up at our house last night to pick up the BrownChurch roof top tent. Roof of his jeep was covered with a 3/8" sheet of ice.

Ice storm went well into NC yesterday and pretty much ended a couple miles from Brian's shop.
Broken tree's were everywhere. Have the load leveling hitch I got from Matt Moran on and it makes pulling the car trailer a very different experience. The truck can be adjusted to sit level which is great since most all rovers squat in the rear. The down side is that I apparently have a trailer wheel/tire that isn't balanced well so with the tension hitch I can now feel that for the first time, vibration starts @ 66mph and persists up to 74. Seem to be getting 12mpg with 33's, pulling a car trailer, and running 75.

Last call for anyone who wants something large from Safari HP rurr'd back up North.

Stephen and the guys @ Safari HP got us loaded up quickly. To my surprise the 110 chassis was also on axles so we have a 90 chassis, a 110 chassis, a 130 chassis, 2 salisbury rear axles, 2 front axles, radius and control arms, 9 mounted wheels and tires and 2 fuel tanks (partially filled) on the trailer.

Once loaded we went down to meet up with Abe who lives in orange grove country. Abe put us up in a house on large lake surrounded by the orange groves in bloom. Abe,Raub, Trey and I were out for several hours on Abe's boat yesterday. The air around here smells incredible. Picture is a view from the deck this morning. House is surrounded by water on three sides and is decorated in a safari theme-very cool.

Raub sent me a on the water in the boat picture.
Very very cool.

That is one sketchy stack.
Brian better call out the whole neighborhood to unload.

Travel safe Richard.

We spent the day finishing Abe's 200 tdi conversion. Got him on the road, talk about one happy guy.
As a payback he hooked us with an air boat ride with one of his buddy's. Something about a ride in a boat thats 100 yards from the water and still getting it.
Engine is a 4cyl Lycoming aircraft engine, prop is carbon fiber.

I did see your galvanized chassis with trick rear suspension going in as well as your electro coated bulkhead and t posts, very cool that coating. No idea what the story on the 90 chassis is, I'm just transporting it back to Va as part of the RURR.

Its got a lot more straps on it than as pictured. We ran about 70 miles with it in stop and go traffic and nothing moved. Its very heavy though.

Yes were lucky to hit this area in the brief time to orange groves are in bloom. It truly smells incredible here all day every day. Abe says it only lasts a week or two so our timing was spot on.

It's been really good to meet Doug and Trey after all this time. I had a great day yesterday finishing up my truck with Doug's expertise and help. Finally after all this time I understand what it means to own a TDI and really I owe a lot of it to Doug. Thank you my friend.
