RURR North NJ to LI

I am planning on an 80-mile expedition from North Jersey to LI to pick up a swing away tire carrier from Tom (tomaco1). Hopefully I can do it this weekend (Sat or Sun). Please let me know if you have anything that you want to make the trek with me. I don't know what my route is yet. I'll be driving either the 110 or the D1 with a roof rack.

Don't mind collecting/delivering an item for a bit of gas donation. Please let me know.

Ok, so this should be happening this Sunday (01/04/12) in the a.m. Plan to leave my house at around 6:00am so that should put me at Tom's (tomaco1) at around 8:30ish. I'll be driving the 110 empty and coming back with a spare tire carrier and 2 dog guards and a skid plate for Pedro.

This all hinges on Tom being available though. Tom, I left you a vm. Thanks!

And I'm going to Brooklyn on Sunday to go pick up some furniture, but I'm not sure my truck is large enough.

I was talking about Tom (tomaco1)... too many Tom's and Defenders!!! LOL

Originally, I was supposed to pick up Pedro's parts that Tom (jimmybuffet) will deliver to Tom (tomaco1) and drop them off at Tom's (tjfslaughter).

So Pedro, since Tom (tjfslaughter) is going to farmingdale Sunday, I will hold on to your parts.

Hay Glenn, are you looking for some to drive with you in their truck? 8:30 AM is kind of early. Does this Tom sell Defender parts? I might want to drive down if he have stuff for the UK model.

Which Tom?

No they're not officially parts dealers (AFAIK) but they're just selling off from their personal inventory (aka hoarding). I will be driving, but I'm just doing a public service offering to haul parts for d90 folks.

Tom, I'll call you. He originally wanted me to drop them off at your place but if you're not around, I can hold on to them.

I'm picking this up. I've fit some large stuff in the 90 before, but this may be pushing it...but I'm optimistic! I think I'm going to remove my rear tire from the carrier since this'll be sticking out of the back if I can't fit it the way I'm planning to, which is straight up through the top (removing ST) - probably remove the alpine bow. It's 43" wide x 24" D x 70" H. Haha I doubt anyone has room for this thing, but I appreciate the gestures.

Damn! My NYC apartment in the early 90s was smaller than that thing!
