Running Vin #'s for ROW Trucks

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a way to verify vin #'s for a truck that has never been in the USA? I'm looking to buy one from Spain and I am having no luck running the vin so far. Thanks!

If he's in Spain, chances are it's a Santana.
Never tried one of their vins in Calvin.

Ok thanks a bunch John B.! Am I correct to assume there is no website like carfax etc. that would show you mileage and change in ownership etc?

And Chris, it is not a Santana, it is a regular defender. I hope to have it stateside with Uncle Douglas' help!

Mark, I never found anything for Spain and I've been looking for a while now. I bought my Spanish Rover from Valencia and Bill and Paul are very helpful but the truck I bought didn't really have any history. It's a true Defender not a Santana. If you find something let me know because I would love to find out more about my truck. Good luck in your search. Brian

Carfax is a North American phenomenon. You aren't going to get any info like that elsewhere.
