RRC tires

I googled and couldn't find what I was looking for so was hoping you guys could help.

My classic is nearing completion and I would like to know which brand/type tires were original equipment on a 1995 Range Rover classic?

Thank you

That's right. I've got one that has never touched the ground on a barn-find 95 spare. It's yours if you can find three others ;-)

Thanks guys. Thinking michelins will be close enough for this one. Especially since the others may be unobtanium in good shape.

RRC tires

I've got Cooper ST/MAXX in 245s. I'll eventually go back to stock size when I do my Concours project, but as others have pointed out, the originals are NLA and 205s are hard to find now.

The problem with collecting old spares to get a full set of 205s is the age of the rubber. At 20+ years, I would be concerned about the safety of tires that old. But if you're not it much, I suppose that can work. ISTR the CT trucks ran 215s.

I also have one that is the spare tire in the RRC that I'm parting out. Let me know if you are interested.

I think we were simply trying to collect for you a full set of original equipment rubber in geriatric, but otherwise perfect, condition. Either way, it would be crazy to drive on them, but if you were building a concourse show truck, they would be perfect.

And David, I do appreciate that. But since the truck is going to be driven, I need the tires to be safe. I was hoping it was some long standing model tire that just improved with time and didn't phase out.

Robert, I'll do pics once she is finished. Brian at LRC is just finishing up the final details now..

x3 on Scorpions. My son's D1 has 245's and they have been excellent for a stock truck. Snow and ice, excellent. Mud at MAR in October, excellent. All around road use, excellent.

Most of the Rangies I've seen come through here have untouched spare tires that have benefited from not being exposed for possibly more than 20 years, but I wouldn't fit rubber that old to a driver.

Of course. For sure. Glad it I'll be driven and enjoyed. I never know how extensive you're gong on a truck. Look forward to seeing a shot of it when finished.
