Very torn this morning... Maybe the last snow for Virginia, hopefully not. Heated seats and windscreen are the f'n Bomb.

Exactly!

When I briefly checked the weather prediction Friday night we were expected to get 1/2" of snow...maybe 1".
Well, 7"+ on the grass, a very wet, packed 3" on the drive and no work today!

This thread was fun to look at in December. Now I'm so sick of snow I could spit.

Oh I could easily have made it to work but why?
More fun to be at Wintergreen today.

Crazy thing is...Saturday during trail prep for RAW we were sweating by 10:00 am and it got up to 68*F in the afternoon.
Today....17*F on the slopes at lunchtime....

Dude...it's not us. It's the soccer moms with the "go anywhere real fast" Expeditions that screw up everything. It's flat not safe to be on the roads when they are out and around. Oh....and those guys with the new jeeps, that when suck, don't know what a recovery point is.......... Don't ask me how I know.

If you consider the number of miles of paved roads we have, And how many commuters we have trying to get to work on a given morning and what percentage are office workers from the Southern Hemisphere with zero common sense for even a snow shovel let alone 6k lbs vehicle, you quickly realize It's a safety issue.

I wish I had been there! I've always wanted to wheel in the snow.

We were actually surprised by the amount of snow, Jimmy.
We met up on Rt 151 and there was some gusty wind with a slight sprinkle of rain.
As soon as we hit the mountain it changed to full on blizzard.
We were weed-whacking the dealership trail in a blizzard.
We then cleared a few trees of some other trails and by 11am there was 4" of fresh snow.
The only place I got stock was on the paved portion leaving the trails by the sub-station.
Tried to climb it but lost traction, slid backwards and spun into the ditch(no damage).
Then my lovely Milemarker winch took 45minutes of slowness and thermal protective shutdown to get me to a point to drive out.
It was nice.
