I'd love to have one but there is no way my wife would go for it. Maybe if I ever get around to making a man cave...

I have a big piece of glass sitting around and lots of junker engines... I think I'm gonna do one for the customer waiting room....light tube in the camshaft tunnel I think might make some nice subtle lighting.. May even use the other four pistons for the feet..

My girlfriend is into the idea of me making one, I just don't feel like spending the time to actually do it. For those with wife concerns, have they seen Top Gear? My mom and one of her friends really like the idea of the engine block table, and they know nothing about cars. They just saw it on Top Gear.

Look around and you'll see v8 glass tables have asking prices around $1300

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

I travel a lot for work, I remember seeing these in SkyMall a while ago for those prices. There's a market.

If you want a funky version, put some led lights in the bottom of each cylinder

Id pay $500 shipped. I would order one tomorrow if you could make me one to replace my dreary wooden round top in my office.

It would need a base beneath the engine to get the height right to be able to sit around. Maybe stack one on another?

just use a few cams as legs to raise the height to what you need
