Rover Special Vehicles - Rhode Island.

Having just moved to the area, I had the opportunity to visit their new shop in Exeter. Pretty amazing place. Lots of military builds, tithonuses, nas specs and many more. Richard the owner is also a great guy. If you are in the area you should check them out.

Got me. I'm guessing it has something to do with their military builds.

just saying I know him and ask Zack why Rovers North didn't have to change their name

If you really want to know call and ask…

They're a quality shop, with quality people, believe it or not, there is a world outside of this site

Not to be that guy but I'm sure Rover just has not gotten around to calling them on it.

RN kept their name because of the corporate relationship and support they have....i think, AFAIK? But no other smaller companies did - maybe under the radar?

Google listing shows it as permanently closed, odd.

Doug seems to know the owner in this thread:

I didn't mean they were not legit - just off the radar of internet searches...maybe why legal folks at JLR didn't find them....if no one had an internet presence then they probably would've got to keep their names.

Found a newer listing, probably because of the move.

I went by their shop when it was in Jamestown, RI and spoke with the owner for a while about 2 years ago. Murphy aka HeloBubba used to have his trucks serviced there.

Looks like HeloBubba hasn't been on the forum since selling his truck. Has anyone had repairs done at this shop? Would love feedback.

Met him several times; he's a nice guy, has more work then he can do so don't expect a deal or anything but for expertise he's the best in the northeast in my opinion

He was on just a couple of weeks ago, just hasn't posted. The guy who bought Murph's red truck had a bunch of work done to it before he had it shipped to him.

Rich is 100% still in business, certainly not slowing down. I haven't ever had my vehicle serviced there, but never had any complaints from people I've sent there.
