Rover Chrome

I know its lost on many and may be an old school thing-which undeniably I am....

I thought I'd start a thread for galvanized rover parts pictures, mud pit quality rover porn.
Personally, galvanized steel on a rover is sexy.

Inside the front of the barn we always have a to be galvanized pile. Its not the best spot or best first impression as someone walks in to see a pile of crusty/gnarly, rusty metal. If a piece of ferrous metal can be re-used it goes in the pile regardless of if actually matches up with a truck. We are starting to accumulate a nice stock of galvanized spares.
This is the fourth run I have done so far this year. I do an inventory sheet as we load up and have to spread it out to get a count when we get home.

Will let you guys figure out what some of this stuff is. Anyone know what the part to the far left is ?

Couple-4 weeks, Commonwealth turned this batch in 3 days for me. I have another 130 chassis and the frame for my 110 wagon, and a V8 tithonus chassis to do. Bring anything you want done tomorrow.

No need to sell me on galvy

Every time I am under the 110 I smile and enjoy the view. Happy that I took the extra time to galvanize things like the tub cross supports and seat boxes. Against the black painted aluminum tub I think the galvy parts look mint.

Anybody ever do a RRC or Disco body shell? I'm tired of fixing rust and just want to do it once more and do it right. I know there would be some warping but maybe not too bad. There's a few pictures floating around of people that have done it:

That's awesome. It would take a bigger tank than what the place I use has.

There's a place in CT about 2 hours from me with a tank that the RRC shell would fit into sideways. I'm definitely considering it - but lots to repair before dipping it.

How do you prep the parts before going to the galvanizer? Do you remove all the undercoating, paint, rust, etc? What about inside the boxed chassis?
