RockMonster Wheels - wow!

These are probably the most bad a$$ wheels I've ever seen for the defender. Anybody have these? Website: http://www.rockmonsterwheels.com/pro...oduct=defender

I'm pretty sure a guy at work has Rockmonsters on his Toyota. The Toyota ones are more bling.

They are made by Hutchinson. The same company that makes the wheels for the military G-Wagons.

http://www.hutchinsoninc.com/CMS/index.php

They are true bead-locks, forged, and heavy.

A good friend here in Portland is a dealer, if anyone wants his contact info give me a PM.

Is it easier to change tires on true beadlocks? I'm not entirely sure what the definition of a true beadlock is, but it seems like the actual outside lip of the wheel is removable? If one does a lot of tire swapping, mounting/remounting costs do add up...

I had a few people PM me to ask prices, so I thought I would just answer here.

The price for the WA-0604 is $420.00 each, plus shipping.

The lead time is 3-5 weeks.

The the capped lug nuts are being phased out at service intervals.

I lost the bid on the last RFQ.

Considering the winning bid....they bought Britpart.

Looking into these wheels and curious if anyone has any first hand experience? Or photos of a 110 with them? Doesn't seem to be a whole lot about them for land rovers on the web.

I've only ever seen them on the armored MDT 110's. Hutchinson has a great reputation and I'd certainly put faith in their product if I had a need for a beadlock.
