Yeah, I just heard.
I've listened to them off and on for years.
Even had their "Greatest Hits" on CD back in the late 90's...gave it to my mom; she loves them, too.

Very sad indeed. I loved listening to CarTalk and the banter between the brothers Magliozzi. Tom will be missed greatly, especially his laughter.

Sad. I listened to the show a bunch of times. Definitely entertaining and I liked how they went through issues over the air.

I knew they were Boston area based (hard not to tell with those accents) but I didn't know they were the Rust-Eze Dodges in Cars or that they both graduated MIT (impressive).

RIP

Very sad indeed. They fooled me. I always thought that it was a new show every week. Didn't realize that, according to the article, they retired a couple of years ago and I was listening to reruns.

I've been listening to them for many, many years. More recently via podcast before I go to bed. Very entertaining, very funny and very bright guys. I believe that one of them (or both) has a Phd. And what a cruel disease Alzheimer is. In my opinion one of the worst that can happen to human being. My mother has it and it has been a nightmare for the entire family. RIP Tommy.

I always tried to time my garage time on Saturday and Sunday mornings to be able to listen to Car Talk. They were the best.

What a great show that was. Dangerous to drive while listening as it was so funny, Only car show my wife would follow.

When I first heard Car Talk I hated it. I remember thinking that these guys didn't know shit and all they did was bust NPR-Type listener's balls. Then I realized that that WAS the show! I listened on Saturdays all the time.

Sad to hear.

I have driven all over this great nation listing to these two guys, laughing my a** off most of the time. Even the reruns are great. When going to school in Mass, I got to meet them at a Bosox game. They where just as funny in person.

X2 on the podcast heads up.

Tom....RIP....thanks for the memories.
