No way! I'm so glad I had my chance to see him live, once! Great show at The Gorge! Sunset from the cliffs over the Columbia when he hit the stage. Fame, Pressure, Ashes, Let's Dance, Modern love, Golden Years, Heroes, China Girl, Fashion, Major Tom... all in the set. Freakin awesome! He completely eclipsed the headliner, Moby. I went for him, Bowie, and half the audience left when he did! ;-) Respect. So worth it.

I'm actually a bit sad. Celebs I could care less about, but Bowie was freakin' Bowie! My son knows nothing of you or Labyrinth, but he will some day. Blast off, sing on, and RIP.

I think tonight is a good night to listen to "Ashes to Ashes" one more time.........

Listened to Ziggy constantly. Brilliantly talented.

There are not many musicians you can label with musical genius. Not matter what Kanye says.

First words out of my wife's mouth this morning were that he'd passed. He left us with so much to remember him by. Q104 (radio station) had an impressive tribute this morning with a block of his music. Amazing to hear so many of his hits one after another. RIP.

His duet with Bing Crosby singing Little Drummer Boy is a classic. It remains my favorite Christmas song.
RIP

It's not fair that Beiber lives and Bowie is taken from us. RIP Ziggy.

Most poignant quote I've seen....

"If you're ever sad, just remember that the world is 4.543 billion years old and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie."

Saw Bowie in Atlanta during the Spiders from Mars tour - great show from an immense talent.
A friend of mine's younger brother introduced us to Bowie when he released his first album - been a fan ever since.

Just another epitaph:

As I'm flying home the other day, I'm watching The Martian again. David Bowie's "Starman" is playing on the soundtrack during the ship's slingshot around the Earth. Then I look over to the flight tracker next to me and I see we were just due south of the "Bowie Seamount!"

Ahhh, God's ironies!

God bless and God Speed!
