RHD power steeing box help

I am finally upgrading to a 200tdi. This has a power steering pump so I would like to add a box and finally have PS.

I have a box with several numbers on it and none of them get me to an actual part number via google.

One is HBE 11211 and one is HBD 11221.

This is a four bolt box off a RHD truck. It had some major leaking so I was considering rebuilding it. Then in my searching I found that many don't like early rover boxes for the slop.

I saw the P38 box as an option which I would probably have to source overseas for the RHD version and then many speak highly of Meridian boxes.

Just wonder what y'all think. I would like to get this taken care of as I should have the engine soon.

Thanks
Jeff

Any thoughts?

Also, it occurred to me that I might need some new gauges, EGT and boost in particular, to accommodate the tdi. Are these necessary?

I thought of rebuilding mine when I had a leak.
I'm not a great mechanic, so rebuilding it would have been a task. I was told a replacement would be better anyway, so I got a new one.
That was more than a year ago, and so far no leaks.
Not sure what model steering box you would need.

That looks like a 3 bolt box to me? The 3 bolt box is supposed to be real solid.

My understanding that it is hard to get LR PS boxes to seal with a rebuild kit and it is best to go with a rebuilt from a place like Meridian. FWIW I would think there should be some decent RHD boxes floating around left over from LHD swaps if you ask around.

200 tdi did not come from the factory with a boots or EGT so you do not HAVE to add them but many people do so they can monitor things. EGT is necessary if you are going to tweak the fuel.

Sounds like a good rebuilt box is what i should look for. Maybe I'll get a thread going in the wanted section then.

I don't really plan to mess with fueling but it seems like it would be good to keep an eye on things.

Here is the back of the box.
