Some more part for my 3-link came in Friday. This is the second package yet still not all of the parts to complete a 3-link. I got the axle arm that the 3-link goes into. the link and the other radius arm. One thing I noticed is that the link is different than previous 3-links I have seen. This one has two huge ball joints on each end.

Do the other 3-links have bushings in the link that connects the cross member to the axle piece?

I still need the ends of the axle part in order to bolt the arms to it. I will be calling Mary monday morning.

Yeah, that's different but I like that style better.. Wait till Jorge see's that. That was one of the problems I had with SG. They always shipped me my stuff but stuff was always missing and you had to do a lot of follow up calls to get everything.

Hopefully box # 2 will be at your door on monday with the rest of the stuff... What about the x-member?

How is Joe the Plumber to know what's supposed to be shipped??? The CEO of SG should know to provide a carbon copy checklist with the shipment.

What a crock of sh*t... I guess this is Change we can (not) believe in.

You would think, if the new CEO, was going to revive ($)G, he would do simple things like double checking the parts with a packing list.

It does look strong, plus is it made from common parts. I bet you can find those ball joints anywhere. Might try to put this on after Howards.

Sent it to RN, they should be happy to have it copied in China. Doesn't mean that it will sell for any less, but at least you will have scored a moral victory over SG. Scorpion racing should likewise be happy to steal the design.

I'm going to order a receiver hitch from them soon. Easy test for them. We'll see if I receive it in a timely fashion.

You are right. You could make the center piece out of johnny joints.

http://www.redrock4x4.com/shop/index...roducts_id=660

I was looking around and alot of Jeep sites came up. They seem like a common upgrade component for Jeeps. I should just get all the pieces in and bring it to a fabricator myself and make some up for you guys on the board.

Looks like the SG site is back up. I spoke with someone there late in December who said they would get going in early January...

In looking back over this thread,I the amount of exposed thread on the shanks of those johnny joints on the center link really bothers me... I have a SG 3-link so I know how long the center link is.. in pure tension and compression everything should be fine, but lay that center link up on a rock and put a good bending moment on the link I would start to have some concerns about the shank of the joint and the threads in the center link. Everything I build with Johnny Joints I really don't like any more than 1.5" of exposed shank past the jam-nut at and 2.0" at an ABSOLUTE MAX on an upper link that won't likely see a bending load.

Exactly. In Cali if you are an S corp, which SG should be for maximum tax benefit, you HAVE to have a CEO. You even have to have share holders.

I am all for flaming someone or something on the internet, but guys, at least do it for a legitimate reason.

ECR is an S Corp. We have a shareholder (1, me) and we have this that and the other to satisfy the needs, but to refer to myself daily as the CEO is pretentious IMO.
The S Corp requirements mean you to have a CEO, but it does not require you address yourself as such... unless you want to make yourself sound important... IMO.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

At this point it looks like the guy has become the new CEO of a comapny that is still a bit of a debacle. He started calling himself the "new CEO" last Summer I know of a couple of people that were still having problems getting product from SG very recently. Not flaming the guy but I remain highly sceptical.
