Replacment Catalytic Converter

My cats are rapidly heading south. Has anyone used this replacement option for Atlantic British?

Chris, go to a muffler shop and see how much it would be just to weld new cats in. I would think it'd be less than $800+shipping. They may even be able to find some that are flatter in shape so they don't stick down so far.

Or Catco makes a "bolt in replacement" for about half of AB's

I wish those options were open to me. My cats need to be replaced to pass emissions and the Y-pipe is in decent shape, but the tailpipe is basically shot and the flowmaster I put in last year was just a patchwork fix when the muffler collapsed.

The last exhaust shop I tried to go to recently lost their custom guy, so I have another one to visit in the next few days. I think I'll go the whole dual exhaust route with an H-pipe. I figure if I'm going to do it, I might as well do it all right.

I was reading the posts...Isn't Chris looking to replace his set-up with stainless? If thats the case, then I'm not sure if those muffler shop prices were correct. Although I may have missed something.

Actually all input would help as now my pile of junk has larger issues. I do like that if I could replace the cats with $125 each replacements rather than an $800 route, it would be a worth while thing to look at.
