Thank you everyone, I really appreciate the kind words.

he really was a great man, he enjoyed all things with engines, and we shared his last couple of years with the defenders. Which is the closest I've felt to my dad in my "adult" years.

Condolences Pablo. I hope to be able to pass my love of Rovers on to my son some day so we can enjoy them together, the way that you two did.

So sorry brother. Glad I had a chance to meet him. Seeing you two pull away from my house in his truck inspired me to go tdi. He loved his 200tdi. Life's short, enjoy your families now!

Sorry for your loss. I wasn't fortunate enough to meet your father at HH, now I feel like I've missed the opportunity to meet a great, wonderful man. My prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry for your loss. The solace is that you have many great memories together doing what you're passionate about.

So I made a few calls to other members and want to interpret post 1.
I read it 2 different ways.

The first time I read the post the hair stood up on the back of my neck because I thought Pablo Cocito's son was posting to all of us to let us know his dad who was a member here had passed away.
What this ment to me was that Pablo Cocito (God bless his soul) who, I have spoken to several times, discussed his 110s and his 200TDI conversion and his position as an embassy attache in DC had passed. We knew each other for a few years and he had a standing invitation to come and visit us in Chesapeake, VA.

The second scenario was that Pablo Cocito the member here who is an embassy attache in DC was sharing with us all that his older than 50's, perhaps even 70s or even older dad had passed away and that he was also a Land Rover enthusiast (along with the Pablo in the first scenario). Since I never met or talked to the much older dad in the second scenario, I hope it is the way things played out... but my fear is that the Pablo Cocito enthusiast I spoke with and exchanged messages with in the first scenario above has now passed away.

Someone please clarify... either way this is said, but I just exchanged PMs with Pablo in Late January and it is hard to accept that he is now gone. What a cool guy!
Missing you right now first scenario Pablo!

We hear "one life, live it" often, but do we really live?

From reading people's comments who knew your father, it sounds like his one life was well lived. That is something you can take comfort in.

Godspeed Pablo.

He certainly looks to have truly lived well, travelled long, loved deeply and shared his passions! You are a testament to his accomplishments. I can only hope that my son would remember me as fondly. All the best to you and your family during this difficult time.

Post 31... it was Pablo senior who passed away, (see the first scenario) who was a member here and at one time owned two 110s.
We spoke several times on the telephone regarding his 200TDI install.

He was cool as they come and can't believe he is no longer with us.
I do appreciate his son coming on here to let us know the story.
Godspeed Pablo Sr., will miss your posts and phone conversations.

Sorry for your loss, Pablo. Losing my dad was one of the toughest things that's ever happened to me. Keep a picture on your phone or in your wallet of a good memory with your dad, and then remember what it was about that memory that makes it good!
