Sure, shut down Gitmo, bring 'em all here to the US and put them in our prisons - then see what happens to them!

I'd like to see them screaming jihad while spooning with bubba.

Unfortunately with recent Sup. Ct. decisions and especially with the new administration the only really smart move on the military's part is to take as few prisoners as possible. Doesn't garner much intelligence, but at least if they are dead they won't be killing our guys.

Gitmo

x2. I always harken back to the takeover of the Iranian Embassy in London. SAS went in and I think there was only one survivor.

begins? nah, the first was already years ago. this just proves that bush & co's methodology was flawed. the values that our democracy is founded on would have served us much better even if not seemingly the best choice at the time.

Think so, huh? It'll be interesting to see how your new Prez handles this situation.

Release them with a presidential pardon. Then give them a 7/11 or other type convenience store with some of that stimulus money.... Watch this will happen

Or we could just give them exclusive rights to own and operate casinos to compensate them for the hardship they endured. I don't have first hand knowledge to say how "torturous" the interrogations were at any of these holding facilities, but it doesn't seem like closing them down and never using them again makes any sense. Suspending interrogations etc. while sorting the mess is one thing, but why issue an order to close gitmo and all the CIA holding places overseas and never use them again? It may or may not be necessary to change SOP in these places, but why not do that and continue to use them? Seems short sighted if you ask me...

ya know.... this reads purdy damn racist.

im not saying i havent noticed who owns one hell of allot of convenience stores, i just cant see where the issue is, when a group of people stick together, and work looooong hours at a capitalist dream.

a group of pakistanies bought the beer distributorship up the road. no one else wanted to work the long hours needed for the volume. im glad its still there. im glad they live in my community, and the money spent stays here instead of going to big chain. its a drive thru, but i stop in all the time and chat about my land cruisers. nice guys when you take the time to know them.

why you gotta be hatin', and lumping hard working people in with terrorists?

IT WAS HUMOR get a grip and put the race card back in your wallet..... News flash all immigrants are not hard working wannabe US citizens... Manny more exploit the system than contribute to it.... Check out a ER, Welfare Office or Public School in the border states lately?

The point was the new Obama administration will suck up to the detainees to try and win hearts and minds by giving them undue compensation for being held. These prisoners are hostile combatant's and have sworn to there GOD to kill us. But hey we can one up that with some seed money and a work visa.

Ask you Pakistan friends what tax breaks or other incentives were given them? Last group I talked to basically got a Car Wash/ Convenience Store/ Gas Station for showing up....What a country I'm glad I spent 20 years defending it....

thats some funny humor, and this BS is even funnier. please, keep typing.

so, tell me, how exactly does an immigrant get a "free" convenience store? is this a one time offer, or can he exit and reenter for more?
