All taken on iPhone and uploaded by the iPhone app.

First post allowed multiple attachments.

Second post hit blank page when attempting second upload. I had to upload one pic then edit post to add second.

So there was an orientation bug in the previous iOS versions. Not sure it impacted photos though.

I'm guessing overlander is right ... When pics go from iPhone to PC some meta data is lost or interpreted differently.

I'll try later to upload these test pictures onto my Mac and upload and also my surface 3.

Emailed from iphone -> Surface -> iMac

This will determine is EXIF is removed or just ignored by PCs.

I try the iphone app periodically.

Always end up deleting simply because it has the infuriating habit of logging you out constantly. Then its a case of ok wft pw was I using..... So I just use Chrome on my pc and iphone.

Moving on, interested to hear how the Surface 3 is working out for you.

Pretty conclusive that PC's strip EXIF orientation data from iPhone pictures ...

I use the iPhone app all the time and I never get logged out.

The surface is from work ... the keyboard is expensive ( i didn't pay for it though ) and of the grade of a cheap chinese PC company. Utter shit!

The actual computer seems pretty decent ... but no better than my Win7 dell XPS 11 I had before which was 3 years old when I gave it back.

I don't use a pen or the device as a tablet because I'm doing spreadsheet / powerpoint stuff. When I have tried to use a microsoft genuine pen ( insanely expensive ) I gave up in about 30 seconds and went back to mouse and shit keyboard. I have an external bluetooth mouse ... a logitech thing i found in the office. Works OK.

Because the keyboard hinge doesn't have the ability to support the screen it has a pull out prop stand to hold the screen up ... tragically I fly coach when I fly domestic for work ... it would be impossible to use on a tray in coach.

The docking station seems ok ... if somewhat pointless ... I just want to have a big monitor that wirelessly connects to my computer when i put it on the desk!

Windows 8 is a cluster fuck UI ... it's neither one thing nor another ... OSX sucks too but at least it's consistent. If someone puts their fingers on my screen again to attempt to show me something ... before having to revert to the mouse and shit keyboard ...one more time I swear there will be blood ...

I wouldn't spend my own money on a surface ... it has a lot of cool stuff but when it comes down to doing work those become gimmicks and get in the way.

I'm going to be working for a different office within my company and they issue macs ... also ridiculously expensive for what they are but ... the traditional form factor of a laptop and the lack of gimmicks will probably work out better for my use case.

YRMV ...
