Powder coating in NoVa

I just dropped off a few things at "Extreme Powder Coating" in Lorton. While I"m not sure how extreme they actually are, they seemed like they knew their stuff. And if nothing else they're a LOT closer than ASCO.

I'll report back when the pieces are done.

Didn't know about him. And at least for me his prices would have to be substantially cheaper to warrant that drive.

No, 20 miles by itself isn't a long way to drive. But 20 miles out and back to drop off and pick up is a big pain in the ass, especially for those of us that live inside the beltway and have traffic to deal with.

Let's be really clear here that they are not, in fact, yours.

That tire carrier is in a container somewhere in the North Atlantic. Once everything gets here we can talk.

Either of you guys know what your respective shops charge to powder coat a steel wheel? Assume new condition, not rusty.

Tony, FWIW, I have never used Extreme for anything but do have a few Harley buddies who use them exclusively. The work always looked spot on

I figured they were big in the Harley scene -- this was sitting in their lobby; and yes, it's powdercoated.

FWIW, I was at Tony's recently. No land rover, just a garage full of tiny Scottish workers hammering out Pelican cases from old toys. When I asked about it red dots began to appear on my chest and I could hear rustling in the trees. Tony spoke into his watch in Farsi, the dots disappeared, but close call nonetheless.

The sad thing is that is completely plausible knowing Tony.
