Oh you haven't experienced spooning until you have a Boxer.

This is a "light spooning" day last weekend at 6:30, Max was not amused that I had woken him up.

That would be nice, BUT! there is only 1 way, with 8 rules to get a coveted mug

To get a mug: Just make sure your sighting is cooler than anyone else's.

I don't even have a mug... and I certainly can't give any out without 7 levels of approval and somewhat of a test. This pretty much describes how to get a mug.

This is Marks (overlanders) mug that he keeps at my house. I use it regularly to keep it in tip top condition for him.

If you ever get a mug how will you protect it?

Here's a photo of my 3 mugs together.
Also included in the picture is my sightings notification which according to the RN 25 th anniv would make it 2004.
But, I have yet to win the *new* style mug...even though I had an awesome sighting just a few months ago.
I think I've been blacklisted after 3 mugs.

Unfortunately due to the "priceless" nature of these mugs, no amount of money can replace one. Unless the USAA takes their time to submit a decent enough sighting that it makes it into the magazine as a winner. Which is of course a laugh, because all these boxes of mugs say, "don't send to Mark K." on them.

SEE! The system is jacked!

If I HYPOTHETICALLY had a mug that I had legitimately earned and had been rewarded, and it was in my truck and was stolen, I would anticipate that any jury of my peers in a criminal hearing would consider the loss of that mug a "license to kill". Given that, I would quit my job, and pursue the thief as a life passion until he was found, then I would kill them slowly while enjoying a nice hot cup of DD in my recovered "coveted Rover's North Sighting Mug"

If you were planning to actually kill someone for a coffee mug, I would send you another before it went that far. I would only require a hand written note slightly soaked in tears from you crying while writing it.

If you get the mug will the first beverage be a DD coffee or a scotch with a fattie?

You can bet on it! Just look for a thread titled "I beat the system!" or "Don't use your real name in a sighting and you'll win a mug!"

still deciding on which title to use...I have time..lots of it

Mark,

If you ever receive said mug, major if here, will you dedicate a Pelican Case to your mug? Will it be only enjoyed in a foam padded room?

Assuming no of us question how you obtained this of course.

it will not. it will gain a special place in my mug rack within my overland drawer in the back of my 110. It will have a harem of melamine concubine mugs with which it will do as it pleases when the drawer is closed and live the life of a king. When I make coffee, it will come from a G4 stickered Kelly Kettle and a Rover stickered Patriot Press carafe, and the RN mug will always be filled first, regardless of the number being served.
