I'm guessing those vents are not functional?

Horrible looking either way.

Seriously?
So... if a client comes in and wants to upgrade the look of their defender, you tell them the original style dash is so much better than a Puma?

Geez thats cheeky. I'm sorry, but I am still laughing.
The RDX is cheap!

The puma dash is not a bad looking dash, it's just more modern.

And you lose the vents! The best option on a defender!

WTF is with those vents? PUMA dash is awesome. Fell in love with it in Africa. but I love bulkhead vents too. can't go wrong either way.

I think the dash is ugly and reduces a lot of knee room..and as mentioned..the best part about a defender is the front fresh air vents..love those..

I'm going to have to try removing my spare tire and driving around some day.

Yeah.. I have the spare tyre on the hood but the next build I will not... But it looks like this dash piece would at least kinda give you the updated look but keep the fresh air vents and also give you lots more room for switches etc..

I agree with that. I'm 5'8" and I'm about the perfect size for an M1 tank and a Defender. Rode around the bush of Botswana for a month with my boss who is about 6' 5" and in the front he was a bit crammed in. sure beat the back of the 130 though. about 4" more in those back seats would have made all the difference!

While you tell YOUR CLIENT how wonderful the PUMA dash will look on their old Defender, please tell them to switch to Automatic, because NFW you will have the room to engage your gears with that box in the way

Although, will look awesome with the 24' Spinners and low profile tyres

Yeah..I'm 6'3" and I got in a 2013 defender pick up and my knees were hitting the dash...if I want a modern dash I'll drive a new range rover...

I don't know how Doug does it. Once you hit that elevation, there's really nothing comfortable other than a Bentley or an F250.
