Wow! You could put that and a couple of JATO rockets in an 80" and be able to keep up with everyone on the highway.

i've seen a jeep and an Fj40 with them, i think it would fit, but there's no way on earth you'll be able to cool it without having your radiator in the bed of your d.

To actually answer the question, yes it would fit. There was a TTC competitor a few years back with one in his Wrangler. The wranger has less engine room than a D so it is possible. I say go for it. Post pics.

woot

THey actually have a good amount available, I was just kinda worried it would be "too much" for it. I've even toyed with the cummins as well, but not sure how either engines would mess with/mate up with the tranny/4x4 etc, I was kinda kidding but kinda not.. its 500 freakin hp! that would be kinda fun. with my bike selling and business picking up, it would be fun to take on a project.

I think ECR will do anything you want just as long as you have the dough.

JATO rockets in an 80"? Hmmm...now *that's* something I haven't done to it yet.

Ahh, yes.

The "Yeti" experience. From what I've heard its quite the pain. His name escapes me at the moment, but if I recall he said there were a lot of little issues to combat with this project.

I could be wrong.

Dang, I can't remember his name. He's on this board. I recognize his avatar on the website.

Go for it. I think the friggin engine and frame would take off, 0-60 in 4 seconds, and land you and your chassis on the dirt...in 4 seconds. Might be fun to watch.

Just kidding. I am looking at all kinds of alternatives too for a replacement when my 3.9 dies.
Want a 5.0 liter set up like that guy that does the Nevada Challenge has in his 110. (Doug?)
