Yeah, there is a link to it on Discoweb called "Owned" I think. Some dude listed gears for sale for one price and as new, then after he cashed the check, tried to raise the price, the argument started there on PBB and then during the fighting of him to either refund the $$ or ship the gear which he was avoiding both, turns out the gears were not new. The guy kept making it worse for himself and the flames of passion just kept growing. When I looked at it I thought it was 64 pages and word of it is spreading all over sites everywhere so like a zillion people are hitting PBB and killing the bandwidth. They are trying to get people to at least join up for a 2 or 3 day membership to help foot the costs for that much traffic. Lance (the owner or admin of PBB) has to be getting killed by the host.

Here's a summary if you don't want to go through 55+ pages...

It's about this kid Charlie Wenzel selling a set of gears that he claimed were brand new.

He lists them as brand new for $100 + $15 shipping.
This guy Matt buys sends him a check for $115
He gets the check, cashes it, then PMs Matt complaining that he had originally wanted $125 + shipping and that the listing was a typo.
Matt calls BS... and says, just return the money.
Charlie takes 2 weeks to take action and sends the gears instead of the money
Matt finds out gears were used.
All hell broke loose. They dug every piece of dirt about this guy.
High School pictures
Mom and Dad's address
Mom and Dad's house, phone numbers
Sat image of house
Work
Boss' name and number
etc.... LOL

I spent 2 hours yesterday skimming through that shit. Funny stuff.

It's like a good book, you just can't put it down. You get tired and wanna stop reading, but then you just need to know what happens next. Does Charlie get beaten to within an inch of his life? Does Mike get his money back? So much drama, it's awesome!

Chris, must've missed that one since I pretty much skimmed through the last several pages. I haven't been able to get back to that thread, anyone care to give us an update? Was Mike able to cash the 7/11 MO? What a pisser that guy is.

That is why I don't buy from people who post on this web site unless they have some sort of history here.
Growing up in a semi shaddy Chicago neighborhood I learned the phrase "Buyer Beware". Actualy it was more of a be careful of who you screw because it is tough to walk with broken knee caps. Or was it "Screwer Beware"? Anyways, be careful out there when you are buying stuff off the internet.
