Apparently, it has to do with the price of oil, which is used to make the tires. It still seems way high but I did shop around. The best I found was about $200/tire but those did not come siped. I ended up going to DT because they had the siping machine.

Thanks. I ski some K2 World Piste skis, G3 Targa T9 X-Race bindings, and some Garmont Ener-G's.. I'm looking at getting a pair of fat skis for this season, maybe with some Voile Hardwires on them. Fat skis need love, too.

Lot of tele folk on here!

I'm still skiing a pair of first generation Rossi XXX's before they were called XXX's I think they are called CUT 11.0 Super wide and lots of fun in all conditions but hardpack, but who cares about hardpak anyway? I also have the G3 binding and have been wearing Crispis but still prefer my old Scarpa T-1's, especialy for the backcountry.

Yep, fat skis are fun. I have a pair of K2 Hippy Stinx with BD 03 bindings, K2 Piste Pipes with BD 03 binidings, Voilé Carbon Surfs with the G3's, and Yöstmark Mountain Noodles with some Rainey bindings. Ride them all with Scarpa T1 or T2's depending on where I'm going/what I'm doing.

Good times, he he

Your truck looks awesome. I was thinking more of the last time I priced them at $169, not current day--you are right, they have gone up.

Good work on your truck--what is next?
