Pics from Ny auto show 06 Range Rover

Here's some pics of it! I don't like the lights in the bumper.

The best looking thing in those pics is the safari kitted disco in the background (At least I think it's a disco).
Either way, I'd love to drive a Rangie, but I just can't see putting that much money into something I'm gonna want to tear up and would be nearly afraid to get dirty on the inside because I know I'm going to eventually sell it. I guess that's the difference between the Range Rover and any other previous model Land Rover - I'd want one and never get rid of it, but I'd sell a Rangie and buy another if I liked it.

And my fiance` says the rear end looks just like the new Grand Cherokee. She also says it fits the market that they're trying to appeal to as well (i.e. people not taking them out).

Yep I am pretty sure that's what it is. I didn't take any pics of it, I figured hey it's just another Disco. They also had a G4 Disco, and the stupid plastic bumper thngy with the lights was falling off, I tried to fix it (the Land Rover guys working the show gave me a strang look, I should have said I own a Defender, that would have thrown them off), but as soon as I walked away it poped back apart .

Thats the 06 range rover sport supercharged with land rover KIT items. The lights on the front look like the ones that they offered for the freelander.

Thanks for the reassurance. I've gotten to the point where I know all the defenders from behind or inside, and Disco's with the engines/front ends, but I saw the roof and didn't want to say it was a disco and have it be an LR3. I misquoted a 110 once for a 109 from the rear on this site and have just lived it down (at least in my own mind).

Mike, If you said you own a Defender they prob. would have not known what it was and pionted you to the Nissan booth or something.

Did you like the Toyota FJ concept? I thought it looked cool. THey said it would be out in earlt 06

I don't know, I like the square look of the older FJ40s, this one looks too futeristic for me. That and IFS is not something I want to see under any offroader.

Yes, that is the sport. I saw the 06 range rover [normal] and I decided I really like the new lights and grill and gills. Very nice.

Of course if it had an M5 engine and not a blown jag engine it would be perfect

You mean a 500 HP V10, yeah that would be cool! They had one of those at the show, it was a look but don't touch type car. They wouldn't even pop the hood for us.
