Phelps RRS DUI...again

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps was pulled over by the Harbor Tunnel cops in Baltimore for doing 85 in the tunnel. They gave him a field sobriety check which he failed. He was driving his white RRS.

He should know better. You can't win a race doing 85!

You certainly can't win a race against a police interceptor driving a Rover.

One of my coworkers has a retired Crown Vic that Texas DOT had ordered with the V10. It hauls. I thought of getting one myself before the V10 disappears.

It's his second. First was in 2004.
Story here (apologies for the stupid ads on the viddy feed):
http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/30/justic...el-phelps-dui/

He can afford the legal costs, but sponsors start dropping people who pull this stuff repeatedly.

not to hijack, but such a thing exists!? I've had a few interceptors with the 4.6 that I thought were plenty fast as is.

Yep. Ford produced the Crown Vic Interceptor with a propane V10.
State of Texas ordered them specifically to run on gasoline though.
I think they used them primarily in West Texas where the roads are open.

Maryland Transit Authority cops are the worst. I see a black car around there and shudder. They have hassled me coming and going from the port since their HQ building is right there in Dundalk by the Key Bridge.

That's bad news for him. The fortune of an olympian is fleeting. He's going to be living on the cash from these sponsorships for the rest of his life.
